I'm off for my first time to Florida in June (67 days and counting), already have Disney tickets included with the holiday (14 day ultimate ticket I think), but was wondering about getting tickets for Universal.  I'm not sure if I'm trying to do it all, but as well as Disney, I would like to go to Busch gardens and Universal Studios...so would I be better off ordering 5 park Flex Tickets for us?

Welcome to the Dish!!

Does your 'ultimate Disney ticket' have the Hopper option?

You will get so much good advice on here, there is even some nice people on here, so I am told!

First and foremost write out an itinerary.

Never brought Flexi tickets but thats only because we would not use the Wet and Wild part of it.

Trick to buying flexi tickets is to see who is giving what away with them.

And Yes you will try to do too much. But I do envy you going for the first time. Have a great time planning. Wink

ATD are doing 5 park FlexTickets for £134 for adults and £114 for children. It looks like a good deal to me. 14 days entry to the parks makes it £9.60 per day Applause

I've checked the Ultimate tickets for Disney, and yes, we have the Hopper option.
I did think about Annual Passes, but for the first visit, I'd just like to find my feet...but who knows what it will be like next time.
We've booked with TravelCityDirect, as we had originally booked with Thomson (some deal that my missus can get through family) for the Sheraton World Safari, but they decided they'd overbooked, and bumped us to the Doubletree, which for the money we were paying and the reviews on Tripadvisor didn't seem that good a deal.
We managed to get the flights, 14 nights in the Crowne Plaza Universal, car and tickets for Disney for less than the original Thomson flights plus hotel.

You need to price up the cost of a single day BG ticket plus a Universal ticket against a flex ticket to see which works out best for you.

Are you planning on doing Seaworld and/or Wet n Wild?

If not - Universal are doing a good special offer at the moment - buy one adult 2 day ticket - get 3 extra days free plus a free child ticket.  If you're travelling with kids and don't mind being restricted to 5 consecutive days these are a good deal at $99 +tax

A single day advance purchase Busch ticket costs approx $60 - and you get 6 extra days free (again consecutive)
