Disney Channel Games 2007 -- a summer-long programming event featuring kids and 'tween's favorite stars from around the world competing in fun games and sporting events and capped off with a celebratory concert -- will be held April 24-27, 2007 at The Ballpark in Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The Disney Channel Games will be televised throughout summer on Disney Channel. The Games will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation®, Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation™, UNICEF and Boys & Girls Club Clubs of America.
Disney Channel Games 2007 brings together stars from "High School Musical," "Hannah Montana," "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," "Cory in the House" and "The Cheetah Girls," among others, to compete in action-packed challenges, including Double Obstacle Course, Dunk Booth, Extreme Rock-Paper-Scissors, Hamster Ball Bowling, Simon Says, Extreme Egg Toss and Super-Sized Soccer.
Via an online poll at disneychannel.com, nearly 800,000 viewers worldwide have already voted to determine which stars will compete in Arm Wrestling, Dance Dunk or Rock-Climbing Relay games.
The talent will be divided among four teams (Red, Yellow, Green and Blue). Participating in this year's games are: "High School Musical 2" stars Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman; "Hannah Montana" stars Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, Jason Earles and Moises Arias; "Cory in the House" stars Kyle Massey, Jason Dolley, Madison Pettis and Maiara Walsh; "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" stars Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse, Brenda Song, Ashley Tisdale, Phill Lewis and Brian Stepanek; The Cheetah Girls -- Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams; "Johnny Kapahala: Back On Board" stars Brandon Baker and Jake T. Austin; and "Life with Derek" stars Michael Seater and Ashley Leggart. For the first time, stars from Disney Channels around the world, including Brazil, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, U.K. and Japan, will get the chance to showcase their skills when they join the team in Florida.
In addition to the Games, Disney Channel will host a red carpet kick-off party and a live concert featuring some of Disney Channel's hottest music talent including Corbin Bleu, Hannah Montana, The Cheetah Girls, Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.
