One of the new restaraunts, built during the pointe's "rejuvenation"

Very nice interior, warm welcome, but on to the food.

Southwestern grill type place specialising on Chicken really.

Mrs Gaz is the big Chicken fan, I pretty much order steak everywhere so we had a look at the combo meals.

Wifey ordered the Cluck n Oink,(chicken and ribs) I ordered the Cluck n Moo, (chicken and steak) the steak was excellent, as where the ribs but the star of the show is most definitly the chicken, allegedly seasoned with 32 herbs and spices it is unbelievably tasty and savoury.

The sides of garlic mash and green beans added beatifully to the meal.

I do not normally do desserts but on reccomendation we tried the pineapple upside down cake, again it was fantastic like the best treacle sponge you have ever had only with pineapple and ice-cream.

A surprise entry in to our top 5 and highly recommended in fact todays return bus from clearwater drops us just over the road so a return could be imminent.

Actually can I be cheeky and ask what Pointe is like these days?

I don't think we've been there for about 5 years - and we tend not to drive up I-Drive either.

I might actually take the camcorder and film some driving - just to see how much things change Laughing

Pointe is looking 100% better than even 12 months ago, lots more shops and restaurants, festival bay is also a lot brighter than of late, and prime outlets will be excellent when the roads are finished.

Enjoy the beach???? we didnt get on it and our 2 hour boat trip turned into a 20 minute dash for the harbour in cold heavy rain with lightning flashing all around us, a 3 1/2 hour trip back to i drive has just ended with us coming out of Olive Garden in torrential rain and it is quite a hike back to the hotel in those conditions, storms forecast tomorrow with a freeze on saturday and sunday.

I almost want to come home

Need more than that, got up this morning flushed toilet and the room flooded, they have now put air blowers under the carpet so we have a damp bouncy castle.

Our own in room theme/water park.
